Thirteen-year-old defender, Fatau Neire became the youngest player in Ghana Premier League history when he came on as a substitute for Aduana as they stunned Hearts of Oak 1-0  at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park on September 11.

Neire, who is now 14 years (celebrated his 14th birthday on December 12, 2022), came on twenty eight minutes to stoppage time, the first player under 15 to play in the domestic topflight league.

Gideon Obeng Kyeremeh, now at BA Stars, previously held the record at 13 years, 10 months and 22 days when he played for Aduana on November 6, 2017, when he climbed off the bench to replace Richard Mpong in the Fire Boys GPL game against Berekum Chelsea.

Neire made two cameos against Legon Cities and Real Tamale United before the break for the 2022 World Cup tournament.
