Kelvin Osei Asibey, had a fantastic debut season with Hearts of Oak and has urged everyone to disregard claims that they played a fixed game against Bechem United in which he scored.

The 23-year-old guardsman joined the Rainbow Club last year on a three-year contract after an impressive spell with Techiman Eleven Wonders.

He stepped in and made an instant impact having quickly gelled into the team and established himself as a mainstay and at some point was one of the fans favourite in the capital.

Having won 29 caps last season in the league, Asibey's only goal was in their final fixture against Bechem United where they came from behind to win 2-3 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour to secure survival.

Osei Asibey, finally cleared the air having stated categorically clear that, they never played a game a of convenience with the Hunters and added it was a competitive game they approached with so much seriousness.

"I was very happy to come from the bench to get the equalizer for the team at Bechem."

"When the goal came, the feeling was great. After the equalizer, I told my mates that there's no way Hearts of Oak will be relegated.

"Our game against Bechem United was very competitive. Let's ignore all the rumours that it was a fixed game."
