In what was termed the most interesting matchup of the day, Aduana Stars quest to widen the gap on top of the summit has been classified as an illusion as they were held to a goalless draw by Karela United at Agyemang Badu Stadium.
There were subplots and ambushing methodology being laid out heading into this intriguing clash, as the Ogya lads looking the more dangerous created a couple of meaningful goalscoring opportunities, but the ever unflinching Pride and Passion defenders clipped Aduana’s audacious frontiers - hunting profusely for goals.
After recess, the Ogya lads looked relatively short of ideas as their tactical approach kept winding off, as Karela held on comfortably for a well-earned point, and their supporters cries of ‘what a waste of time’ to leave whatever they were doing to come and support a ‘wasteful’ Aduana outfit on a scotching sunny Monday afternoon.
Aduana are still leading the pack on the summit with 52 points, whilst Karela are thirteenth on 39 points.
