Guinean international and Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohamed Camara has emerged as a key transfer target for South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.
Despite already having four goalkeepers in their squad — Brandon Peterson, Bruce Bvuma, Fiacre Ntwari, and Karabo Molefe — Amakhosi are reportedly still in the market for a new shot-stopper ahead of the 2025/26 season.
According to reports from Africa Foot, the Soweto club has identified Camara as their top candidate and are currently in discussions with Kotoko to explore the possibility of a deal.
The 25-year-old, who is contracted to the Porcupine Warriors until June 2026, has also attracted interest from several other African clubs following his impressive performances in Ghana and on the continental stage.
Camara himself confirmed Kaizer Chiefs’ approach, stating that he had directed the South African side to formally engage with Kotoko’s management regarding any potential move.
The Guinean international earned widespread recognition during the 2025 Toyota Cup, where he produced a heroic display against Chiefs, saving three penalties to inspire Kotoko to a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Glamour Boys.
Kotoko, one of Ghana’s most decorated clubs with two CAF Champions League titles, now face the prospect of losing one of their standout performers if an agreement is reached.
At the time of publication, Kaizer Chiefs had not issued an official comment on the transfer speculation.
