In an interview with the club's media team on Monday, August 5, Coach Ogum expressed confidence that some of the teenagers in the youth team could outperform current first-team players when given the opportunity.
"Basically, the aim of this project is to ensure that we can transition some of these players into the first team. We will register some of these boys in the system and as the league unfolds, we will let some of them have a feel of it. So, what we want to do is that we will look at them and some of the time we will ask some of them to come and join the first team and then train," Coach Ogum explained.

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Enoch Morrison, has expressed his desire to play for Hearts of Oak in the future, despite opting to join Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia FC last month. Morrison was heavily linked with a move to Hearts of Oak before sealing a deal with Gor Mahia.
Speaking to Akoma FM in an interview, Morrison apologized for the failed move and expressed his admiration for the Hearts of Oak fans. "Hearts fans from around the world showed me a lot of love, especially after learning that the club was interested in my services. They did a lot of things for me that I can't mention, so I was eager to play for Hearts," he said.
However, Morrison acknowledged that talks with Hearts of Oak fell through and he is now committed to playing for Gor Mahia FC. He has signed a two-year contract with the Kenyan club and hopes to do his best for the team.
Despite this, Morrison remains hopeful that he will have the opportunity to play for Hearts of Oak in the future.
"I am sorry [to Hearts of Oak], but perhaps I can return and play for them at the appropriate time," he said, seeking forgiveness from the Hearts of Oak fans.
