Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Enoch Morrison, has expressed his desire to play for Hearts of Oak in the future, despite opting to join Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia FC last month. Morrison was heavily linked with a move to Hearts of Oak before sealing a deal with Gor Mahia.
Speaking to Akoma FM in an interview, Morrison apologized for the failed move and expressed his admiration for the Hearts of Oak fans. "Hearts fans from around the world showed me a lot of love, especially after learning that the club was interested in my services. They did a lot of things for me that I can't mention, so I was eager to play for Hearts," he said.
However, Morrison acknowledged that talks with Hearts of Oak fell through and he is now committed to playing for Gor Mahia FC. He has signed a two-year contract with the Kenyan club and hopes to do his best for the team.
Despite this, Morrison remains hopeful that he will have the opportunity to play for Hearts of Oak in the future.
"I am sorry [to Hearts of Oak], but perhaps I can return and play for them at the appropriate time," he said, seeking forgiveness from the Hearts of Oak fans.

Asante Kotoko's Interim Management Committee (IMC) has confirmed that the mutual termination of the contract of Yussif Nurudeen Mohammed does not come with any sporting or financial penalties.
The club announced on Sunday that it has mutually parted ways with the highly-rated centre-back.
“The IMC would like to assure our supporters that the club will not suffer any financial or sporting penalties due to this decision and wishes Nurudeen the best for the future,” the club said in a notice on Sunday, August 4.
In the statement, the IMC decided to sever ties with the player because he insisted on practising as a nurse alongside playing for Asante Kotoko.
“Asante Kotoko has agreed to mutually part ways with defender Mohammed Nurudeen. The club entered into a three-year employment agreement with Nurudeen before the commencement of the 2023/24 football season. However, management notes that Nurudeen also has a contract with the Ghana Health Service as a practicing enrolled nurse. The club explored all possible options to convince him to focus on his football career, but Nurudeen remained committed to his career in nursing,” the club said.
“In light of this, an emergency meeting was convened on Sunday, August 4, 2024, where the Interim Management Committee (IMC) agreed to part ways with the player in the best interest of both parties. This decision was made to maintain the cohesion the team is building for the new season.”
