Dreams FC strengthened their push for a top-half finish with an assured 2-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in their Ghana Premier League clash at the Tuba AstroTurf in Accra.
Goals from Oumar Nafal and Ebenezer Adade secured all three points for the hosts, extending their impressive run of form in the competition.
Dreams FC made a lively start and took control early in the contest, opening the scoring in the 12th minute. Nafal capped off a well-coordinated attacking move with a composed finish, putting the hosts firmly in command.
Asante Kotoko struggled to respond despite enjoying spells of possession, lacking the cutting edge needed to trouble the Dreams defence in the final third.
The hosts carried their momentum into the second half and doubled their advantage in the 52nd minute when Adade found the net, effectively putting the game beyond the visitors.
Kotoko’s attacking frustrations continued throughout the match, as they failed to mount a meaningful comeback. Their winless run stretches further, with ongoing struggles away from home becoming a growing concern as the season nears its end.
The victory lifts Dreams FC to seventh place with 43 points from 30 matches, level with Kotoko, who drop to eighth and lose further ground on the top positions.
