Kelvin Yeboah delivered a match-winning performance, scoring twice to power Minnesota United FC to a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over Columbus Crew in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

The hosts appeared to be in serious trouble after conceding two first-half goals, with Taha Habroune opening the scoring in the 31st minute after a slick exchange with Max Arfsten. Hugo Picard then doubled Columbus Crew’s advantage, netting his first MLS goal to leave Minnesota facing an uphill task.

But the contest took a dramatic turn after the break, with Yeboah emerging as the central figure in the comeback. The 24-year-old forward reduced the deficit shortly after the hour mark, reacting quickly inside the box to finish from close range.

He then struck again within minutes, rising above the defence to head home from a well-delivered corner by Joaquin Pereyra in the 66th minute, restoring parity and shifting momentum firmly in Minnesota’s favour.

With the game now finely poised, Minnesota United completed the turnaround late on, sealing a memorable victory with Yeboah playing a decisive role throughout.

The in-form striker — nephew of Ghana legend Tony Yeboah — continues to shine in MLS, taking his tally to seven goals in 11 appearances this season. Having previously featured for Genoa and FC Augsburg, he is steadily establishing himself as one of Minnesota’s key attacking figures.

Born in Ghana but capped at youth level for Italy, Yeboah’s latest display further underlines his growing influence and rising profile in the league.
