Hamza Mohammed, the head coach of Tamale City, has provided a detailed account of the attack that his team suffered following their betPawa Premier League match against Aduana FC in Dormaa during Gameweek 25.
According to Joseph Yaw Adu, a board member of Asante Kotoko, there are no plans to dismiss the Chief Executive Officer of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah, despite criticism over the team's inconsistent performance.
The club was eliminated from the Champions League preliminary round, and they currently sit in fifth place on the league table with 38 points in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
While there have been reports that Nana Yaw Amponsah's three-year term as CEO will not be extended, Joseph Yaw Adu dismissed the claims in an interview, stating that there is no agenda to fire the CEO, and that such speculation is baseless.
"There was no agenda of sacking the CEO [Nana Yaw Amponsah]. It is mere speculation," he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
Asante Kotoko will face their city rivals, King Faisal, in a pending match on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium. Nana Yaw Amponsah, a 2019 Ghana Football Association [GFA] presidential aspirant, was appointed as the club's CEO in August 2020.
Head coach of Legon Cities, Maxwell Konadu has lauded the performance of his lads but is unfortunate they couldn't leave Bibiani with even a point.
Legon Cities FC gaffer, Michael Osei has confessed they were engaged into a very tedious task but still managed to secure all three points which was their substantive target.
Bibiani Goldstars recorded their tenth victory of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season in a five-goal win over Legon Cities on Monday afternoon.
