Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has expressed excitement after making a sensational return into the English Premier League.
Ayew after ending his stay with Qatari giants Al Sadd has joined Nottingham Forest on a short term deal
The 33-year-old forward has been without a club since his exit from Qatari outfit Al Sadd and has now joined the Tricky Trees on a six months deal with an option to extend after successfully passing his medicals earlier today.
The former Swansea and West Ham star will be Forest's 29th signing since their return to the English topflight.
Forest boss Steve Cooper knows the Ayew well, having worked with him in Wales, and his arrival will help cover injuries to Taiwo Awoniyi, Morgan Gibbs-White and Jesse Lingard.
Speaking after his switch, the ex- West Ham and Swansea City attacker feels very elated and is ready to help the team achieve their goals. He said;
"It’s a great feeling to sign for Nottingham Forest.
“I know how big the club is and I know how much the club means to the city and the fanbase. It’s always been difficult whenever I’ve played against Forest and at The City Ground and I love the stadium.
“Steve Cooper is someone who knows me very well and knows how to work with me both on and off the pitch. We have a strong relationship, he’s a special coach and a special human being and someone who I really look up to.”
“I know what I can bring to the team, I’m ready to give my all and make sure that we are able to stay in the Premier League", he concluded
Nottingham Forest didn't start the season but are gradually finding their pieces as they currently sit 13th on the EPL standing with 21 points after 20 matches.
They suffered a semi final elimination against Manchester United in the EFL.
