Ghana striker Antoine Semenyo featured for the first time in the English Premier League for AFC Bournemouth against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
Semenyo, who joined AFC Bournemouth from Championship side Bristol City in the just-ended transfer window, enjoyed full duration of the Cherries 1-0 painful away defeat to Brighton at the American Express Community Stadium.
Kaoru Mitoma scored a late winner for the second game running as Brighton edged past Bournemouth at Amex Stadium.
Mitoma, whose stoppage-time goal earned victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup last weekend, steered a header past Cherries goalkeeper Neto with three minutes remaining to spark joyous scenes among the home supporters.
Bournemouth manager Gary O'Neil named the 23-year-old to lead the attack for his side against Brighton and Hove Albion this afternoon.
Semenyo, who attracted interest from several clubs including Southampton and Burnley, scored seven goals in 24 appearances across all competitions for Bristol City this term.
The versatile forward made two appearances from the bench for the Black Stars in Qatar, but was unable to prevent his side from exiting the tournament before the knockout stages as Ghana finished bottom of Group H
