PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo has revealed he will make a decision on his future in the next few days as he weighs up offers from Man Utd and Arsenal.
It appeared that the Dutch-born Ghanaian superstar was destined for the Philips Stadion as he looked set to snub a move away from Eindhoven, with the latest reports suggesting he could leave the Peasant Farmers this week.
Gakpo's current contract runs out in summer, 2026, which means there is quite some time left for him to make a decision, but he might leave after his side succumbed to a defeat to Rangers in the qualification rounds for this season's Champions League.
After Sunday's 6-1 win over Excelsior in the Dutch Eredivisie, in which Gakpo scored a goal and garned two assists, the Ghanaian stalwart revealed he expects an answer on his future soon.
Gakpo, 23, who stated he had several options, was then asked whether Man United are a genuine contender for his signature.
"That's right," the forward said. "I hear it all. I try to focus and not listen to it, but that is difficult," Gakpo told ESPN.
"It's like a puzzle so in the next few days I will see which puzzle fits best. For me, it'd certainly not be bad to stay at PSV. We'll see."
In previous weeks Kickgh.com disclosed that Arsenal, Leeds, Southampton and Nottingham Forest were in talks with PSV about Gakpo this summer, with the Dutch side stressing they did not want to offload the intelligent young forward.
