The veteran defender and the Royals will be going their separate ways in the summer after being together for eight seasons in the English football competitions
Ghana international defender Andy Yiadom has parted company with League One club Reading Football Club, the club have announced.

The 34-year-old, whose deal with the Madejski Stadium campaigners expires on June 30, 2026, would not be handed fresh terms by the lowly division outfit, thus bringing his 8-year marriage with the Berkshire-based side to an end this summer having joined up with them in the summer of 2018.
A statement confirming his departure reads: ''We would like to place on record our thanks to Andy Yiadom, who departs Reading Football Club this month after eight years. The defender arrived from Barnsley in 2018 and has cemented himself as a club stalwart over the past eight seasons, winning Player of the Season in 2022.

''Captaining the club on a regular basis, the Ghana international has become a popular figure with supporters and staff, leading by example throughout. Earlier this spring, he became the 35th player in our long and illustrious history to make 250 appearances, the first since Garath McCleary in 2019, and leaves with 253 to his name.
''Andy was presented with a signed shirt and a specially engraved watch, courtesy of club partner Citizen in a meeting with teammates and staff at Bearwood Park.''

Club manager Leam Richardson has told his club's official website: ''Andy has been outstanding for this football club over a long period of time," said manager Leam Richardson. "He’s someone who represents everything you want in a professional - honest, committed and a leader both on and off the pitch. It’s a real shame that a small niggle kept him out of the squad on Saturday because he absolutely deserved that final appearance in front of the supporters.

“He leaves with the respect of everyone here and I’ve no doubt he’ll be remembered as someone who gave everything every single day for Reading Football Club.”
On the international scene, the London-born right-back boasts of 26 caps for the Ghana national football team since switching nationality and represented them at the international level in 2017.
