Newly-signed Armeé Patriotique Rwandaise FC midfielder, Richmond Lamptey is ecstatic with the move and is looking forward to achieving more success with the club which are already having a rich history.
The Rwandan champions officially unveiled the mercurial midfielder on a free transfer after leaving Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and signed a two-year contract after a fruitful negotiations.
The 27-year-old recently took his official photoshoot in the APR jersey signifying his readiness ahead of the 2024/25 football season.
Reacting to the move, Lamptey expressed elation having admitted he's joined a big club with nothing but a winning mindset and tradition and is looking forward to replicating the same mentality and success at the Amahoro Stadium.
"I am thrilled and honoured to join APR FC, a club with a rich history and a winning tradition. I am eager to contribute to the team's success and bring my best to every game," he wrote on social media.
"I look forward to working with my new teammates and coaches, and to the incredible support from the fans. Let's achieve great things together!"
Armeé Patriotique Rwandeise FC won their championship for the 22nd time with yet another commanding performance throughout the just ended season with a stunning unbeaten run and topped the table with 68 points after 30 matches.
The Army after securing the service of Richmond Lamptey, will definitely look to make some few more signings to strengthen their squad for their title defense and also hope for a stellar CAF Champions League campaign in the 2024/25 season.
