Ghana international Mohammed Kudus was back on the scoresheet today and hit his celebration unusually this time having sat on a customized stool and has explained reasons behind that.
The 24-year-old scored his third Premier League goal of the season as West Ham fought back to earn a pulsating 1-1 draw against Brighton at the London Stadium.
After a goalless first half, the visitors opened the scoring account through Dutch international Mats Wieffer but Kudus equalised with a close range header seven minutes later to split the points.
The mercurial midfielder stated he celebrated on a customized stool this time to make his look different since most players worldwide have started emulating his celebration.
"The elephant is a symbol of traditional authority back home in Ghana."
"The stool is from Ghana. With my celebration on the boards a lot of people are copying it now so do something to standout and showcase Ghana."
Mohammed Kudus, who was a delight to watch at the London Stadium against Brighton and Hove Albion, enjoyed the full duration of the fixture.
He has now scored three goals and provided an assist in 12 Premier League matches for the Hammers despite facing a five-game ban for misconduct.
