Tottenham Hotspur manager Igor Tudor has provided an encouraging update on Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus, revealing that the 25-year-old is making excellent progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury and could be back on the pitch within weeks.

Kudus, sidelined since January, has missed crucial fixtures as Spurs fight to avoid relegation from the Premier League. Speaking ahead of Sunday’s key clash against Nottingham Forest, Tudor suggested that the Ghana international is now training with the ball and could rejoin the squad in around ten days.

“We have three big weeks after the game on Sunday. [Kudus could return] for some part of training with the squad, maybe in ten days? We need to check, but he’s progressing very well, already with the ball,” Tudor said.

The Spurs coach also provided updates on James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur, saying the medical staff may have “nice surprises” for the team soon.

For Ghana, Kudus’s return is equally significant ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Black Stars, drawn in Group L with England, Croatia, and Panama, will rely on Kudus’s creativity and playmaking if they are to progress beyond the group stage.

Tottenham currently sit 16th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone, making Sunday’s encounter against Nottingham Forest a vital six-pointer. Kudus’s comeback would bolster Spurs’ survival hopes and provide a morale boost as both club and country look ahead to critical fixtures.
