Ghana's Black Queens have embarked on their preparations for an upcoming friendly match against Japan. On Wednesday, they conducted their first training session in Accra, following the opening of their camp in the capital city on Tuesday.
During the initial practice at Union Park, Legon, 25 out of the 33 players who had reported to camp participated in the session. The players who took part included Freda Ayisi, Azumah Bugre, Cynthia Konlan, Anasthesia Achiaa, Mukarama Abdulai, Comfort Yeboah, Mary Amponsah, Princella Adubea, Doris Boaduwaa, Evelyn Badu, and Philomena Abakah. Also present were Safiatu Salifu, Victoria Antwi Adjei, Gifty Assifuah, Susan Duah, Vivian Adjei Konadu, Stella Nyamekye, Portia Boakye, Kerrie McCarthy, Nina Norshie, Bridget Adu, Adama Alhassan, Mavis Owusu, Jaqueline Owusu, and Alice Kusi.
Coach Nora Hauptle is anticipating the arrival of eight additional players to bolster the squad for the upcoming challenge. The Black Queens are scheduled to face Japan in an international friendly match on Saturday, July 13.
