The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has imposed an indefinite ban on Nsoatreman FC from using the Nana Koramansah Park as their home venue following the violent incidents that marred their Ghana Premier League Matchday 19 fixture against Asante Kotoko.
The decision comes in response to the chaos that unfolded during the match, which ended in a 1-0 victory for Nsoatreman but was overshadowed by violence, injuries, and the tragic loss of a life.
Citing Article 14(2) of the Premier League Regulations, the GFA enforced the ban to safeguard all stakeholders while a full investigation is conducted.
The association has tasked its Security Committee, led by DCOP Lydia Donkor, along with FA Prosecutors, to compile evidence, including match reports and relevant documentation, for submission to the Disciplinary Committee.
Additionally, the Ghana Police Service has been directed to carry out a thorough investigation to identify, arrest, and prosecute those responsible for the violence.
The GFA has reaffirmed its zero-tolerance stance on violence, intimidation, and hooliganism in football, warning that severe sanctions will be imposed on any club, official, or supporter found guilty of misconduct.
