Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has expressed dissatisfaction over the recent poor performance of our national teams and the dip in the entire Ghanaian game.

He made this statement mainly following the Black Meteors exit from the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations which is currently happening in Morocco.

Ghana amassed four points from three group games but failed to advance to the knockout stage to extend our Olympics drought which has already stood for twenty years.
 
In the last sixteen months, Ghana has failed to surpass the group stages of every major tournament the country has played in at levels as far as the men national teams are concerned.
 
In an interview on Joy FM's Sports Arena, the ex- Udinese Calcio midfielder is devasted with how the Ghanaian game continues to deteroriate. He added is in dangerous times and has to be checked as soon as possible to ensure it is back like it use to be. 
 
"When I talk, I don't get anything from it but I'm talking because the sport that gave me something is about to die and I can't just look on."
 
"Ghana football is in dangerous times. If care isn't taken, in a couple of years, qualification to major tournaments may be problematic."
 
Agyemang Badu enjoyed a nine year stay with the Black Stars where he made over 70 appearances, with five AFCON appearances and one at the World Cup.
 
Also, he was an integral member of the Black Satellites that won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2009
