Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston says he is open to coaching any of Ghana’s national teams, as long as the working environment is right.
Kingston was appointed head coach of the Black Starlets in April 2024, ahead of the WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship hosted in Ghana.
However, Ghana failed to lift the trophy after losing 2–1 to Burkina Faso in the semi-finals. Shortly after that defeat, Kingston surprised many by announcing his resignation.
Since leaving the Black Starlets job, the former Hearts of Oak winger has worked in the United States and is currently the head coach of all Uganda’s junior national teams.
Speaking to Sporty FM, Kingston said his commitment to Ghana remains strong and he is ready to serve if called upon.
“I’m a Ghanaian, and anytime the opportunity comes to coach any national team, I will,” he said.
“If the environment is conducive for me, I’ll take the offer.”
