Ghana Football Association Spokesperson, Henry Asante Twum, has confessed not all members of the Executive Council agreed to the final decision of maintaining Otto Addo as the head coach of the Black Stars and added arriving at this final conclusion wasn't easy.
Majority of the Ghanaian football fans strongly called for the jettisoning of the former Borussia Dortmund trainer on the back of the awful campaign recorded in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers where he recorded not a single win from six matches.
However, he had the support of the majority at a crunchy meeting held by the GFA Executive Council members couple of days ago and it has been confirmed he will continue to lead the senior men national team in subsequent assignments.
Speaking on Sporty FM, the renowned journalist admitted some members of the ExCO wanted Otto Addo sacked and even got heated at certain point but the majority wanted him maintained reason he is still at post
"it was a very tensed atmosphere. Not all members of the EXCO said yes to the decision to maintain Otto Addo so it was very difficult. I stayed there for hours and at some point the meeting had to be adjourned."
The Black Stars after painfully missing out on the next AFCON will now focus on their upcoming games against Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March.
