Newly-appointed Swedru All Blacks head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle says he is very elated to take over the club and is looking forward to excelling but added he will need all stakeholders on board especially their supporters to accomplish that.
The ‘Ozii Ozaa’ lads have been without a substantive coach for weeks now following the resignation of their Egyptian boss Ahmed Fathi in the early stages of the year and have since been on the lookout for his successor.
In his absence, assistant coach Joe Agyemang has been spearheading things for the Black-Whites and is yet to secure a win in the three matches he’s supervised so far with two draws and a defeat.
Mingle, who was just appointed recently, has already arrived and in his first interview, he said this
“I'm happy to be here, and I will need their support, so they should give me the maximum support," Ocansey said. He immediately followed this with a clear message about collective responsibility: "I cannot do it alone. They have to support me for us to achieve what we want."
Swedru All Blacks after over a decade and more finally made their return in the country’s topflight and are hoping for a survival and subsequently establish themselves as a mainstay in the league.
They are currently sitting in 11th place on the league table with 24 points after twenty matches and will travel to champions Bibiani GoldStars in the next round of matches.
