Abdul Aziz Nurudeen, a midfielder for Hearts of Oak, has stressed that failing to secure both the league and the FA Cup, also known as the domestic double, would be considered a disaster for the club.
The hardworking defensive midfielder pointed out that Hearts of Oak's Bankroller and Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, has made substantial investments to position the club for success in all domestic competitions.
He stated, “Our ultimate is to take the league trophy and the FA Cup, if we don’t take it, it’s a total failure.
“Because you can see the work that the Board Chairman has done, bringing new players, gave us the basic commodities that at least a player has to acquire.
“We are all in Kpobiman, we are living good, we are next to the training ground, any time you feel bored, there are other games there, you can go and play.
“So with all these and you don’t take the league or you don’t win it, it’s a total failure, it’s a disaster so that’s our target.” Aziz Nurudeen told Africa-foot.com.
Aziz Nurudeen's impressive performance earned him the "Man of the Match" accolade in Hearts of Oak's 1-0 victory over Nsoatreman in Week 2 of the BetPawa Premier League.
His season commenced with a second-half appearance in the 1-0 defeat to Real Tamale United during Week 1 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
