Head coach of Ghana, Otto Addo, is unshakeable and has nothing to prove to Uruguay as he prepares for his team's clash against the South Americans.
The Black Stars will face Uruguay on Friday, December 2 at the Al Janoub Stadium in their final Group H game, a match that many has described as a revenge after the four time African champions were abruptly dumped by La Celeste at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
In that match, Suarez handballed the ball on the line in the dying embers and was sent off, only for Ghana to miss the subsequent penalty then lose a shootout - which deprived them of becoming the first African nation in history to reach a World Cup semi-final.
But Addo says despite those previous struggles, he will not be motivated by revenge at Al Janoub Stadium on Friday night.
"Yeah just like every other match, surely we want to win this game, the good thing is even if it's a draw", said Addo in an interview with the Ghana FA media ahead of the game.
"I'm not really thinking about revenge, for me it's a normal game. For me I was also sad when I watched the scene, it was a big chance for Ghana to proceed to the next stage.
"But It's 12 years ago, now it's a different match with a different approach. So I don't see it as revenge. I am not a person who seeks revenge and as a strong believer, if you don't seek revenge for these things, sometimes you get more blessings from God. We will try to do our best to win this match and we are confident we can beat them", added Addo.
