The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Mauritanian referee Patrice Milazar to handle the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Madagascar next month.
The 37-year-old FIFA referee, will be supported by his compatriot Ram Babajee as Assistant I, Jean Marc Jeff Pithia as Assistant II, and Ahmad Imtehaz Heeralall as the Fourth Official.
Sinon Philip Georges from Seychelles will serve as the Match Commissioner, while Rwanda’s Hudu Munyemana will act as the Referee Assessor. Helly Zafinimanga from Madagascar will be responsible for coordinating the Pre-match Ceremony.
The match is scheduled to take place at Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 17:00 local time.
Ghana occupies the top position in Group E with 8 points after securing two victories against Madagascar and Angola, and earning two draws against the Central African Republic and Angola in the previous four qualifiers.
The Black Stars will face Madagascar in June, followed by a match against the Central African Republic in September to conclude the qualification stage.
