Legendary Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has no doubt Black Stars young lads weaved into the latest squad released by coach Otto Addo will do well.
The four-time African champions will bid for glory against Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) in a 2026 World Cup qualifiers on June 6, and June 10, respectively.
Gyan, who is an highly respected former marksman and Ghana's all time goal dangler – believes the young lads in the squad have a great future ahead of them and will take African football by storm in the next five years.
"They are doing well at their clubs so we have to commend them because when you look at the team almost five to six players are playing in the Premier League. And other players in different countries are also putting in their best. What makes me happy is that their age they are in their early 20's and if we groom them in the next five years I think they can dominate Africa," Gyan told Peace FM as quoted by Footballghana.
"I have faith in them is just a gradual process we have new faces too we have a new coach who took the team to the World Cup but lets take it like he is here full time with his team so the advice I will give to Ghanaian's is that we are building a team you know Ghana we like things hot I feel we have to accept our football how it is going now.
"Recently the consistency is not there so we have to focus on performance more and when we focus on performance gradually wins will come and the team will dominate I have very good confidence in this team that they are a young team that is coming up so Ghanaian's should give them a little time,"
