The 18-year-old sensational teenager of Nigerian parentage has inked a contract extension with Die Bayern, with those in charge of the Säbener Straße now securing his future on a long-term contract
German-born Nigerian wonderkid Oluwaseyi Wilson has extended his stay with Bundesliga heavyweights FC Bayern Munich, the club have announced.
Having attracted admiring glances from potential suitor ahead of the summer window, the former TSV 1860 Munich Youth star has now seen his current deal which is due to expire on June 30, 2026 refreshed by the German Champions of the just ended elite division contest.

A statement confirming the contract extension of the Nigeria-prospect budding winger and seven other team-mates at the youth level read: ''The seasons for FC Bayern's U17 and U19 teams have already concluded. Behind the scenes, however, squad planning for the future has been in full swing. A total of eight young players have extended their contracts with the record German champions in recent weeks, including two talents who recently made their debuts for the reseves.
''Specifically, the following players from the U17 squad were goalkeeper Luis Nadler (born September 30, 2009), defenders Afrim Gashi (born January 11, 2009) and Jakob Horvath (born June 24, 2009), midfielder Simon Schaff (born March 3, 2009), and strikers Kuba Horoszczak (born August 21, 2009) and Philipp Von Taube (born May 4, 2009). The latter even started in the Regionalliga home final against VfB Eichstätt ( 1-1 ). It was already the striker's second appearance for the reserves.''

''Oluwaseyi Wilson (born December 5, 2007) and Leopold Schmid (born February 16, 2008), two players from the U19 team, will also take their next steps in their development at the FC Bayern Campus. Schmid, who has been training at the Campus since 2017, got his first taste of Regionalliga action in mid-April during the away game against champions 1. FC Nürnberg II.''
Director of Youth Development Jochen Sauer had this to say right after tying down their academy jewels to new deals over a renewal, telling the club's official website: ''When we bring talented players to our campus, our goal is always to support their development for as long as possible. Almost all of these boys have been with our youth academy for many years. It is all the more gratifying that they will continue to play in the Bayern jersey and that we will be able to navigate this crucial transition phase together with them.”

With his glaring talent, the Nigeria Football Federation ought to start monitoring his progress with the Allianz Arena campaigners in an effort to secure his nationality switch for the Super Eagles national football team at the senior level in the not-too-distant future. He has already featured for the Germany U16 national youth team.
