The Black Princesses of Ghana have secured a spot in the knockout stage of the women's football tournament at the ongoing 13th African Games, following their consecutive victories in the group stages.

In their first match of the tournament, the Black Princesses faced a tough battle but managed to secure a narrow victory over Ethiopia.

Today, at the Cape Coast Stadium, the Black Princesses faced off against the Tanzania U20 Women's national team in their second Group A encounter.

Despite conceding an early goal to Tanzania, with Hasnath Ubamba equalizing in the 23rd minute, coach Yussif Basigi's team showed resilience.

A spectacular goal by Tracey Twum just before halftime restored parity to the game, setting the stage for an intense second half.

In the second half, talented forward Mukarama Abdulai found the back of the net in the 64th minute, giving Ghana the lead.

With solid defense and control over the game, the Black Princesses sealed a 2-1 victory at the end of 90 minutes.

This victory ensures that the Ghana U20 women’s national team progresses to the knockout stage of the football tournament at the 13th African Games.

The Black Princesses will now turn their focus to their final Group A contest against Uganda as they aim to maintain their winning momentum in the tournament.
