The promising Ghanaian forward has been acquired by the Stadion Galgenwaard outfit ahead of the next season's campaign.

Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht have secured the signature of Ghanaian teen striker Nana Gyamfi-Amoah on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The former Ghana U15 attacker has been signed by the Dutch top-flight league outfit from Ghanaian lower-tier side Accra Shooting Stars, and he will be joining the club in 2026 when he turns age 18.

The club's official statement reads: “FC Utrecht has reached an agreement with Ghanaian striker Nana Gyamfi-Amoah. The talented player will join FC Utrecht in 2026, once he reaches the age of 18 and subject to his residence permit. From then on, the striker will be on a two-year contract in Utrecht, until mid-2028.”

FC Utrecht opted to tie down the 17-year-old striker in the ongoing summer transfer window to ward off suitors from signing the youngster, who has already undergone trials at several clubs in Europe, including Borussia Dortmund and Red Bull Salzburg.

Nana Gyamfi-Amoah is currently playing for Accra Shooting Stars FC in the Ghana third-tier league and has been part of the club's youth development programme since the age of 12.

He was a member of the Ghana U15 national team and has recently been promoted to the newly established Ghana U18 national team.

Nana Gyamfi-Amoah ready for the FC Utrecht challenge

The Accra Shooting Stars FC sensation expressed his delight after signing the contract with the Dutch Eredivisie club and described the switch as a dream come true.

Gyamfi-Amoah, in an interview with the club's official website, said he knows the challenge ahead of him at Stadion Galgenwaard, and he will bring smiles to the faces of the fans of FC Utrecht.

“This is a dream come true,” said Gyamfi-Amoah. “I am incredibly grateful to God for this opportunity, and I can’t wait to get on the pitch, show my qualities and be part of this beautiful football family – even though I have to wait until I am 18.”

“I am a confident player: I set up attacks, make passes, am fast and shoot with precision. Nothing can stop me on the pitch, and my teammates can expect 100 per cent effort from me in every game. I am very much looking forward to becoming part of FC Utrecht and meeting the club’s supporters,” he concluded.
