The 22-year-old midfield enforcer of Ghanaian heritage has inked fresh terms over an extension with the German fourth division outfit, with his new deal set to take him through to 2027 at the Auestadion

German-born Ghanaian defensive midfielder Tyron Duah has signed a contract extension with Regionalliga Südwest club KSV Hessen Kassel, the club have announced.

The former FC St. Pauli Youth star, who linked up with the lowly division side in the summer of 2024, has made a great impact with Die Löwen and has now been rewarded with a new deal over renewal given his impressive outings so far ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

A statement over his contract extension reads: ''KSV Hessen Kassel has extended the contract of 22-year-old Tyron Duah. The defensive midfielder and the regional league club have agreed to a contract extension until June 30, 2027. Tyron Duah has been playing for the North Hessian club since the 2024/25 season. In the current Regionalliga season, Duah has made 16 appearances.''

Sporting director Tobias Damm has told his club's official website: ''Tyron is a player with enormous potential for development. He has shown that he is willing to work hard and continuously improve. This attitude is crucial for the path we want to take as a club. We see great potential in him and are convinced that he will find the ideal conditions with us to take the next step in his career. At the same time, it is our aim to specifically promote young players and give them the time to develop at a high level.''

He has so far featured in 18 appearances for KSV Hessen Kassel across all competitions in this ongoing football season.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Hamburg-born native enforcer remains fit to represent the Ghana national football team at the international level.
