The budding talented enforcer has extended his contract with the Lotto Park outfit until the summer of 2025.
Ghanaian-born winger Francis Apelete Amuzu has signed a new contract to extend his stay at Belgian Jupilier League giants RSC Anderlecht after a fruitful negotiations.
The 23-year-old penned a new two-year deal with a-year option of renewal on Tuesday after reaching an agreement with directors of RSC Anderlecht.
The club's official statement reads “Francis Amuzu has extended his contract with RSC Anderlecht until 2025, with an option for an extra season”
Amuzu was heavily linked with a move away from the Purples and White lads during the recently ended summer transfer window after interest from several clubs including OGC Nice and Olympique Marseille.
Since his promotion to the RSC Anderlecht senior team in 2018, Amuzu has scored nineteen goals and provided 18 assists in his 166 appearances for the Anderlecht based top-tier club.
He expressed his delight after signing the new contract: “I feel that the club and the coach are counting on me. That confidence makes me very happy,” Amuzu told the club's official website.
"I am very proud of this contract extension and I hope to give the supporters a lot of fun."
The mercurial wideman was born in Accra but later moved to Belgium and has enjoyed his career progression there so far where he's featured for their youth national teams.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have tried on several occasions to lure his service to the Black Stars but to no avail, though he is yet to receive the Red Devils call up.
Amuzu revealed in an interview earlier this year that Ghana is where he was born but his sporting hearts belongs to Belgium. He was in Ghana last year for holidays during the Christmas.
