Ghanaian new sensation Matthew Amoah Jr. has revealed his ambitions for the upcoming season after signing a professional contract with Dutch Eredivisie powerhouse Feyenoord.

Amoah Jr. signed a three-year contract with the Rotterdam-based club ahead of the 2024–25 season.

The 15-year-old attacking midfielder revealed that his target is to be an important figure for the Feyenoord U17 team with goals and assists in the upcoming season.

'I am very proud to have signed my first contract with Feyenoord,' Amoah told the club's official website after signing the contract.

'I have been playing for the club since I was a young boy and have worked towards this wonderful moment all these years.”

 

“Next season, I want to take the next step in my development, and I hope to be important for my team again by giving assists and scoring goals,' he concluded.

Amoah Jr. is eligible to represent either Ghana or Holland on the international stage in the future.

He is the son of former Ghana striker Matthew Amoah, who played 45 matches and netted 12 goals for the Black Stars before announcing his retirement from football.
