Ghanaian young striker Nathaniel Opoku netted his first-ever goal for OH Leuven in the Belgian Jupilier League against KV Mechelen on Saturday afternoon.
Opoku, who made his second start for OH Leuven in today's game, registered his debut goal and provided an assist in their 4-1 home victory over KV Mechelen at the King Power Stadium.
The 21-year-old doubled the lead for the home side on 39th minute after Casper De Norre had opened the floodgate with a fine strike on the 4th minute of the game.
On the 56th minute, Mathieu Maertens extended the lead to 3-0 before Opoku set up Musa Al-Taamari to make it four on the hour-mark for OH Leuven.
A 89th minute from Geoffry Hairemans wasn't enough for a point but only a consolation for the visitors as OH Leuven recorded an emphatic 4-1 win at the King Power Stadium.
The lanky centre-forward enjoyed 70th minute of the game before he was replaced by Belgian youth star Franck Idumbo-Muzambo. His compatriot Emmanuel Toku climbed off the bench to taste twenty minute.
Opoku is currently on a season-long loan deal at OH Leuven from English Premier League side Leicester City. He joined the English side on a long-term contract during the January transfer window.
He has made five appearances for OH Leuven with a goal and assist to his credit.
