Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has revealed that he has set fresh targets for himself after achieving many of the goals he dreamed of as a youngster growing up in Nima, Accra.
Now 24 and playing in the English Premier League for West Ham United, Kudus reflected on his journey in an interview with NBC Sports, expressing deep gratitude to his family for their sacrifices and unwavering support.
“It means a lot, but I don’t think they [my family] are too surprised because they put in the effort for me and pushed me to get to this point. All credit to them,”
Kudus said. “This is just the beginning. I still have a lot of goals and things I want to achieve. I’ve reached some goals, but I set new ones and will keep aiming high until whenever I hang up my boots.”
While Kudus hasn't fully hit his peak this season with the Hammers, he remains a vital part of David Moyes' squad and continues to attract interest from top clubs across Europe, including reported interest from Liverpool.
The former Ajax star will be hoping to finish the season strongly and build on his growing reputation in one of the world’s toughest leagues.
