Ghanaian winger Francis Amuzu has joined Brazil top division side Grêmio de Porto Alegre from Belgian Pro League side RSC Anderlecht on a two-year deal, the club have confirmed.
The former KV Mechelen Youth man passed his mandatory medical assessments before joining the Gremio Arena outfit in this current transfer window.
An official confirmation over the winger's signing read via the club's official website: ''Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense announces the signing of striker Francis Amuzu, 25 years old. The Ghanaian naturalized Belgian played for Anderlecht, Belgium, during his career. The athlete passed the medical exams and signed a permanent contract for two seasons - until the end of 2026.''
''A product of Anderlecht's youth academy, Amuzu has always played for his hometown club. He played 250 matches for the Brussels team, scoring 28 goals and providing 24 assists. He has also been called up to the Belgian youth teams in the U-19 and U-21 categories. In 2019, he was called up by the country to play in the U-21 European Championship and scored one goal.''

The Accra-born winger, who is born to former Ghana U20 star Theophilus Amuzu, still remains fit to play for Ghana Senior National Team, the Black Stars having featured for the Belgium U19 & U21 national youth teams.
