The 24-year-old winger of Ghanaian heritage has completed his transfer switch to the English third tier outfit from the fifth tier campaigners in this winter window
London-born Ghanaian winger Kain Adom has joined EFL League One club Burton Albion from National League side Gateshead on a one-and-a-half-year deal, the club have announced.
The former Sutton United loanee wideman has been in sublime form for his former side and such fine form has now caught the eyes of the third division side thereby snapping up his services on an 18-month contract, with an optional year extension.
A statement over his signing reads: ''Burton Albion have signed Kain Adom from National League side Gateshead for an undisclosed fee. The 24-year-old joins the Brewers on an 18-month contract, with an optional year extension.
''He will take the number 29 shirt and is eligible for the Emirates FA Cup fixture on Saturday, due to a Football Association rule change allowing players to represent two teams in one season.''
The Ghana-prospect has told his club's official website: ''I'm buzzing, it's a big jump up from where I have been playing but I'm ready to get started as soon as possible. The gaffer has emphasized hard work and that's a big part of my game already, so it's what I have come here to do. I can't wait to show myself on this stage for the first time, I can't wait to show the fans my work rate and perform in front of them.''
Head coach Gary Bowyer added: ''We are delighted to welcome Kain to the club, and we thank our owners for their continued support and trust. Kain has already scored 10 goals this season and I love his direct play. He is a strong runner with great pace. We look forward to working with him as he continues his journey."
Before linking up with the Brewers in this January window, he took in 25 game appearances by netting 12 across all competitions for his former side during the 2025/26 campaign.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the London-born flanksman remains eligible to play for Ghana on the international stage.
