The 20-year-old shot-stopper of Ghanaian descent has extended his loan deal with the English sixth tier side, with the fresh term set to come to a close on February 2, 2026
Swedish-born Ghanaian goalkeeper Jonathan Macaulay has extended his stay on a loan basis with National League South side Ebbsfleet United, his mother club Watford have confirmed.
The last line of defence, who joined The Fleet on loan during the summer of 2025, is set to spent more time with them in the lower division contest after taking in loan spells with Hemel Hempstead Town, Oxford City and Bedford Town as the Hornets academy product so far.
The Championship club announced the loan extension deal of the Ghana-prospect goaltender on their club's official website: ''Goalkeeper Jonathan Macaulay has extended his loan with Ebbsfleet United for the second time. The 20-year-old will now stay with the National League South side until February 2, and played in their 2-0 FA Trophy defeat to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.
''Macaulay signed a new two-year contract with the Hornets in March, with the club also having an additional one-year option. He has previously enjoyed loan spells at Hemel Hempstead Town, Oxford City and Bedford Town. Best of luck, Jonathan!''
Having played for the Sweden U18 and England U18 national youth teams respectively, the Swedish-born glovesman remains eligible to play for Ghana at the senior national team level given his Ghanaian heritage.
