The experienced defender is unhappy with his side's one-all drawn game against the 'Purple and White' at the Jan Breydel Stadium over the weekend
Ghana international right-back Denis Odoi was left brooding over their 1-1 stalemate encounter against RSC Anderlecht, with the veteran stopper calling for "mental toughness" among his playing mates in top-flight outtings
The 'Blue-Black' were left trudging on the field of play after 90 minutes of regulation time - after seeing their 68th minute lead via C. Nielsen cancelled by B. Mechele 79th minute own goal.
Odoi feels Club Brugge should have won the game considering the numerous scoring opportunities that came their way during the encounter.
"I think only the three points counted today," the 34-year-old is quoted as saying by Walfoot. "I think we played dominantly, including the second half. In the first half, we should have scored a goal. However, we got into the game well after the break but we got three chances straight away and none of them were successful then you have to work really hard to score that goal and then you have to be able to hold on to the result but you know it there will be opportunities for them."
He continued; "But that goal...it's not even luck. Maybe one of ours has to come out earlier, maybe me, but then that ball deflects first on me and then on Brandon (Mechele, editor's note), the shit! The last games, we were in a negative spiral. We do not finish the chances, the efficiency is lacking, as a group, we must be more resistant mentally."
The former Fulham defender has so far featured in 17 league games for Club Brugge in the ongoing Belgian Jupiler Pro League 22/23 season.
He has been capped 5 times by Ghana at the men's senior national team, the Back Stars after switching allegiance to represent the west Africans at the international level.
