During the first leg, Vivian Adjei Konadu, Doris Boaduwaa, and Evelyn Badu were the goal-scorers for Ghana. Two first-half goals from Adjei Konadu and Boaduwaa were followed by a second-half strike by Evelyn Badu, securing the win for the Black Queens.
Under the guidance of new manager Nora Hauptle, the Black Queens have enjoyed a resurgence, recording four consecutive victories since February this year.
They had a promising start with a 3-0 win against Benin in an international friendly in Cotonou, followed by back-to-back victories against Senegal in friendlies at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The team is eager to restore public confidence as they aim for a spot in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. A victory in the upcoming match will propel Ghana to the next round of qualifiers, where they will face the winner of the match between Rwanda and Uganda.
