Moses Foh-Amoaning, private legal practitioner and a member of the 2014 Dzamefe Commission of Inquiry, has urged the Ghana Football Association to include Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the Black Stars squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana have qualified for the tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, with both England-based players – who are of Ghanaian descent reportedly willing to switch allegiance to the four-time African champions.

Their potential call-up has sparked debate, with some figures, including GFA president Kurt Okraku, insisting players who previously declined invitations should not be selected.

Foh-Amoaning disagrees, saying quality should take priority.

“I will plead that we should forgive and do away with the motions when we are talking about Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi,” he told Asempa FM.

“The players we had in 2006 and 2010 cannot be compared with what we have today. That is why I am pleading that we include these two players,” he added.

He also highlighted Hudson-Odoi’s recent form, saying; “I watched Hudson-Odoi against Tottenham, and I saw Kudus as well. The best player on the pitch was Hudson-Odoi. If we have him and Eddie Nketiah in this team, it will be good for our country and they will improve the team.”

Ghana have been drawn in Group L with Panama, England and Croatia, opening their campaign in Toronto on June 17, facing England in Boston on June 23 and concluding the group stage against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27, as they seek a deeper run after group-stage exits in 2014 and 2022.
