BetPawa is set to commence phase two of construction at BetPawa Park, located within the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.
The announcement was made by Ntoudi Mouyelo, Managing Director of Mchezo Limited, during a press conference on Tuesday.
Mouyelo explained that the project’s contractual structure has been adjusted to a “locker room” contract, allowing BetPawa to continue stadium enhancements independently of the Ghana Football Association (GFA). "This is a pure Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative between us and the contractors,” Mouyelo noted.
Phase one of the project, completed in August, introduced a new playing pitch, substitute benches, and changing rooms, opening up the venue for league matches and training. The initial phase was part of BetPawa's obligations under a $6 million, three-year sponsorship deal signed with the GFA in August 2022. At the time, GFA President Kurt Okraku highlighted the investment as crucial to creating a new training ground at the Ghanaman facility, which would be named BetPawa Park.
Though BetPawa ended its league sponsorship contract a year later, the company has maintained strong relations with the GFA, ensuring that development at the soccer center continues unaffected.
Phase two of the construction will add further infrastructure improvements, underscoring BetPawa's dedication to football growth in Ghana through long-term investments in high-quality facilities.
