Former Black Satellites captain, Clifford Aboagye despite not getting a Black Stars invite during his peak, is still very optimistic of getting that in future.
The skillful midfielder is currently without a club and his last spell was with Mexican topflight side Querétaro where he scored one and provided two assists in 21 matches last season.
He is currently back in Ghana training intensively as he prepares for a new challenge, having already expressed readiness to play for any of Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko.
In an interview on Linus Siaw Narteh TV on YouTube, the mercurial playmaker can't fathom why he never had a Black Stars call up despite his impressive days with their feeder team but is still very hopeful he will get that one day.
"Yes, I was playing regularly and I was definitely hoping to get a call-up, but I think it wasn’t time. When it’s time, God always has his ways of doing marvelous things, so I still have to focus and wait for my time."
Clifford Aboagye, after winning the Bronze Ball accolade at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, joined Spanish side Granada and subsequently featured for clubs like Atlas, Tijuana and Puebla, all in Mexico.
