The Ghana Football Association is in search for new broadcasting rights holders for the Ghana Premier League following the termination of its five-year contract with StarTimes TV.

After StarTimes had exclusive rights for four years under a $5.25 million arrangement inked in 2020, this development represents a substantial change.

Although the specifics of the contract termination are still unknown, both parties have decided to part ways amicably.

The Ghana Premier League and FA Cup were among the major football tournaments in Ghana that StarTimes covered. They also created Women's FA Cup, Women's Premier League, and Division One League match highlights.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is now accepting proposals from broadcasting companies in Ghana and other interested broadcasters across the world.

With this action, a new media partner will have the chance to provide a wider audience to Ghana's top domestic football competitions.

The bidding procedure indicates the GFA's intention to investigate cutting-edge broadcasting agreements that will improve Ghanaian football's exposure and accessibility on a national and worldwide level.
