The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Berry Ladies, Mrs. Gifty Oware-Mensah has announced her intention to vie for the Women's Football Representative position on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council in the next month's elections.

The well-liked football administrator and brand specialist officially filed her nominations at the GFA headquarters in Accra before the launch of her campaign manifesto.
 
The campaign manifesto launch which took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, was attended by leading women's footballing personalities in Ghana and also politicians including John Boadu — former General Secretary of the National Patriotic Party (NPP), Samson Deen — the CEO of Africa Origin Travels and Mrs. Mawusi Nudekor Awity — Director-General of Ghana TVET Service.
 
Mrs. Oware-Mensah, whose nomination has been described as a pivotal landmark in the football ecosystem, has rich experience in football administration and her in-depth knowledge earned her a top role at one-time Ghana Premier League champions Berekum Chelsea as the club's Vice President from 2021 to 2022.
 
Also, her vast knowledge in Digital Communication, Policy formulation, Branding and Management aided the transformation and reshaping structures of club's like Kumasi Sports Academy (KUSA), Berekum Chelsea and one of the most-branded clubs in the country, Berry Ladies.
 
Mrs. Oware-Mensah launched her campaign with a manifesto dubbed ‘Giftyed Hands’ will be a blueprint to aid the reshaping of women football in Ghana from the grassroot level and also improve the state of the clubs.
 
Speaking at the event, she detailed a six-point Women's football in Ghana fortunes changing policy document which focused on;
 
1. Grassroots Development
2. Talent Identification
3. Marketing and Sponsorships
4. National Teams 
5. League Development [Lower-tier leagues, Women's Division One League and Women's Premier League]
6. Education
 
Mrs. Oware-Mensah called on all delegates to vote for her in the Ghana FA elections slated for September 27, 2023 in Tamale to represent women's football on the Executive Council of the football governing body.
