On Saturday, Ghana's Right to Dream Academy emerged as champions in the Gothia Cup B17 category by defeating Swedish team AIK in the final.
Heading into the final, Right to Dream Academy aimed to secure their sixth title, while AIK sought to increase their impressive tally to 15 championships.
Both teams had shown remarkable goal-scoring abilities throughout the tournament, with Right to Dream Academy scoring 17 goals and conceding just one, while AIK scored 13 and allowed two goals from opponents.
AIK took an early lead in the match, with Jonah Kusi-Asare brilliantly receiving a through-pass, evading his defender, and striking the ball into the net.
However, Right to Dream Academy quickly regrouped, intensifying their attack and putting relentless pressure on the AIK defense. They managed to break through and score, equalizing the game before halftime.
The second half saw Right to Dream Academy continuing their relentless attack, forcing AIK's goalkeeper to make several outstanding saves to keep the score at 1-1.
