Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif has stated that Puma doesn't just print jerseys on their own but consult the Ghana Football Association (GFA), as he insists that he's confident the GFA has done the right thing.

The new Black Stars kit for the World Cup sparked outrage on social media when it was released this week.

Ghanaians have called for the redesigning of the jersey before the global showpiece in Qatar.

Ghana are in the same group with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

Ghana will lock horns with Brazil, Nicaragua and Switzerland in preparatory games before the finale.

Mustapha Ussif have defended Puma, and insists that he's confidence in the Ghana Football Association decision to use that jersey.

"You know Puma before they release such kits they would have gone through all the processes that's required. And I can assure you that the FA technical department have taken notice of everything. Puma doesn't just get up to print what they've done, it's the FA," he said.

"The ministry doesn't involve in the selection of football kits for our teams it's the FA and I have confidence in what they've done."
