Former Black Starlets head coach, Laryea Kingston has declared his readiness to return to the fold of the national team, indicating he feels poised to take charge of Ghana's senior national team.
According to Kingston with his deep understanding of the national team's strengths and weaknesses and how to manage players, he is fully prepared to take on the leadership role as the head coach of the Black Stars and guide them to higher heights.
“I feel ready to reach the top with the senior national team. My strengths have evolved from development to management. I understand how to manage both individual players and the group as a whole,” he said.
Kingston, a former Black Stars winger previously led Ghana's U17 side in the 2024 WAFU U-17 Championship shockingly announced his resignation as the Black Starlets finished third in the WAFU U-17 Championship hosted in Accra earlier last year, failing to secure a spot in this year’s U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
However, Kingston affirms he is open to coming back to serve the nation if presented with another opportunity.
“If given the opportunity, I’m ready. Even today, if I receive a call to support any of the national teams, I’m more than willing to return because that’s what I want to do.”
