Former Black Stars captain, Stephen 'Tornado' Appiah has reiterated how embarrassing it will be for Ghana to play it home matches at neutral grounds due to the current poor state of their various stadia.
This four-time African champions have been using the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for the past years for their home games but the venue has now been rejected by CAF due to it current bad state, confirmed just a day ago.
The stadium has been in a very poor shape for sometime now with the pitch looking very bad at the moment and was affirmed after Ghana's opener against Angola last week in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
This means Ghana will have to opt for a neutral venue for their subsequent games until they have any of their various stadia back in a good state and meet CAF's standard.
Giving his take on the current situation, the former Juventus and Fenerbahçe midfielder believes playing home matches in order countries doesn't speak well for the nation and feels the right thing should be done as soon as possible.
The Black Stars will look to redeem themselves next month after a poor start to the AFCON qualifiers when they take on Sudan in a double header.
