Isaac Tetteh- famously known in his days on the Hearts of Oak management team as 'TT Brothers', has descended heavily on the current club heads for the sacking of Samuel Boadu- whom he described as the best man to lead them to Africa.
The 36 year old young gaffer and his other backroom staffs were jettisoned by the giants weeks ago due to a poor start to the season and are yet to find his successor.
The 'Phobians' have named David Ocloo as their new assistant and has been steering affairs with the support of Samuel Nii Noi until a substantive coach is finalised.
Speaking in an interview, Isaac Tetteh has fired the current club management for taking such decision and believes Boadu deserved five more years to prove his worth in Africa just like he did locally. He said;
"This is quite worrying but I would not blame anyone but the management of the club for the troubles they are suffering. Look at the timing of Coach Samuel Boadu’s sacking, it was not the right time and till now I’m very hurt that Coach Boadu wasn’t the man to lead the Phobians into Africa."
“Sometimes we say when players become used to a particular coach’s tactics, it has advantages and disadvantages. There is a mutual understanding between the said coach and players at that particular moment so going into Africa Coach Samuel Boadu should have been the best person to lead the team."
“I was one of the individuals who pushed for him to be given a five-year contract so we could see what he could also do when the team goes to Africa. Look at the problems facing the club at the moment, it is sad.”
Samuel Boadu led the Rainbow club to the CAF inter-club competitions last season, managed to reach the final qualifying round of both with three home wins and three away defeats but couldn't cruise into the group stages.
Hearts of Oak will this Sunday, look to overturn a three goal deficit when they face Malian outfit Real Bamako in Accra in the return leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
