Ghanaian international midfielder, Kudus Mohammed has heaped praises on Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan who announced his retirement from football last week in a dramatic fashion.

The former Black Stars captain hasn't had the opportunity to play actively for the past two years due to consistent injuries and he's now decides to hung his boot at the age of 37.

On the back of the announcement, the ex- Sunderland and Udinese Calcio striker was widely celebrated by the football world including FIFA. 
 
As a renowned guest at the Ghana Football Awards last night, he was very honored after he was made to present the prestigious footballer award which was clinched by AFC Ajax midfielder Kudus Mohammed.
 
After receiving the award, the mercurial playmaker expressed elation having fended off competition from Joseph Paintsil and Salis Abdul Samed and added by congratulating Gyan and described him as a huge inspiration to their generation.
 
"I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate Baby Jet on his retirement, he’s being a big inspiration to me and all my guys over here. I wish him all the best."
 
Asamoah Gyan remains Ghana's all time top scorer with 51 goals in 109 matches. Also, he doubles as Africa's highest scorer at the World Cup with six goals.
